` Treasurer
| ` A statutory university officer appointed by the Council after consultation with the Finance Committee , who serves as the principal financial officer of, and adviser to, the Council; acts as Secretary to the Finance Committee of the Council. The Treasurer, until early this century, also prepared accounts and estimates for the central administrative offices and had overall responsibility for the administration of the university’s finances.
