` Councils of the Schools

` The Councils of the Schools consist of members appointed by the Board of each Faculty represented in the School, and by the General Board . The Councils have the same powers of reporting to the University as a Faculty Board and appoints a member of the Appointments Committee of each Faculty represented. The Councils serve as co-ordinating organisations and may prepare, or process, material before it reaches the General Board. At present there are five such Councils: Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences (including Veterinary Medicine), Technology, the Arts and Humanities , and Humanities and Social Sciences.
