The wrapper is part of an account for commons, naming, inter alia, James Smith [M.A. King's, 1724] indicating that the roll had been in that college for many years. The document reinforces an entry from a court held at Barton on 9 March last. The toft with a building on it lies in Whitwell, close to a barn of the said Lady Anne where William Hutchinson now lives; the 16 acres of customary land were lately in the tenure of Thomas Wendy, MD, and lie scattered in the fields of Whitwell, Barton, Grantchester and Coton.
