College annals. The idea of a College diary of contemporary occurrences, known as the annals, was first established by John Caius in his statutes of re-foundation. The original series ended in 1648, except for a single entry regarding a legal disput in 1848. These volumes appear to be an attempt to revive the idea of College annals, probably as part of the raised awareness of College history which was arising from John Venn's researches into College records. Creator: Roberts, Ernest Stewart. 2 volumes. |
