[In a letter applying to St Edmund's, 6 August 1936, Doherty describes himself as a 'young American Jesuit whom Professor Myles C Burkitt discussed with you some eighteen months ago'. Studied, inter alia, archaeology at Weston College, Weston, Massachusetts.] The first file includes Canon Raymond Corboy's correspondence concerning a trip to the US in 1958 - connection unknown.
