Content and context

The project was sponsored by the European Science Foundation. Its purpose was to produce a complete bibliographical description of the 1487 works in the 'Tao Tshang'; a synopsis of the contents of each work; list of other works cited in the text. The work was divided between working groups in Paris and Würzburg. Other documents relating to the project are catalogued as SCC2/42/25.
