The related documents comprise overviews of three proposed projects for the programme entitled, 'Tao-Tsang - An Analytical and Descriptive Bibliography of the Taoist Cannon'; Literature - A Descriptive Handbook of Chinese Literary Works from 1900 to 1949'; 'The State in China - Concepts and Realities'. Joseph Needham's letter gives his opinions on the value of each of three proposed projects. The documents also include a list of 'proposed members of the steering committees' for the programme.
