Attached to one of the letters is a cutting of a 'New York Times' article entitled 'Bronx Zoo Gets Rare Chinese Alligator from Warsaw'; the other letter includes a poem by Ogden Nash about a crocodile mistaken for an alligator. The postcard was sent from Japan and shows the river Hotsu.
