Content and context

The documents comprise notes on mixed late Chinese and western 'Materia Medica', including a typed extract from a 1949 letter from Charles Singer describing such a volume held at the Library of the Royal College of Physicians, London; other notes by Joseph Needham and Lu Gwei-Djen; copy of a letter from Needham to the Librarian of the Bib. Nat. Courant, France, requesting photocopies from the 'Pên Tshao Pu [??? / Ben Cao Bu], (1697), (5 March 1967); table showing ??
