TLS to Lyn Newman with autograph postscript. Praises 'Alison Cairns'. Writes that Alan is going to read it next and then she will lend it to Margaret. Suggests that although Lyn's father's death was strange it was not as gruelling as her father's long illness. Sends news of Kath, Bernard and the new baby. Thanks Lyn for Elsa's Christmas card. Explains that Westminister Abbey interests them because Eric Abbott, the Dean there, was one of Alan's first pupils at Nottingham High School. Creator: Edith Whitehorn. 1 p; paper. |
