Excuses himself for not meeting Lyn in Battersea Park. Reports a drive in a "huge red car". Informs her that he is going to Sussex for Whitsuntide and afterwards he is to move to 125, Queen's Gate. Panics about moving house. Attaches a verse that makes reference to T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men". Adds that he inspected both the houses she suggested but found them too small. |
