32.1 A.L.s., from Princeton. Has found the algebra at Princeton 'a good way beyond' him, and finds geometry more exciting. Has been working on a some papers of Severi's. Has visited Boston for a 'full dress meeting of the American Mathematical Society'. He saw the mechanical integraph there and has been impressed by the instrument.

32.3 A.L.s., from Princeton. Gives news on his work at Princeton on a paper which he hopes will appear in the Annals of Mathematics. Describes this publication which he does not believe appears in Europe and recommends it for 'the library'. Wonders what his courses will be next year and how many lectures he will have to give now that Verblunsky has been reappointed. Has had an active year at Princeton, and has also been to Toronto to give some lectures.
