Reference 7/2/44
Creator Thomas Cooper
Covering Dates 5 May 1923

Content and context

Refers to Glover's election to the Chair of the Baptist Union, and the use of his father's book at an improvement class, run by Dr Rushbrook, which he attended. Questions Glover on his inference, in his article in the 'Daily News', of a number of Isaiahs. Argues for one Isaiah who lived long enough for the language in which he wrote to evolve. Expresses the opinion that those pastors who preach in the plain word without reference to the Higher Critics are more successful in converting people and maintaining a following.
