Is interested to hear that Beaton has rewritten the Gainsborough Girls and would like to produce it. He is going to New York in September to appear in the Broadway production of Escapade, but thinks the play might not stay on for long because of the competition of television. He asks Beaton whether it would be possible to delay the casting until they know the fate of "Escapade", and wishes him to send him the new script.
