Typescript letter signed to Beaton, from London. It was wonderful to hear from Beaton. Is pleased that he is enjoying his trip. What he says about travel books on Japan is true. Feels that the project would still be worth exploring with backing from someone like J.A.L. 1p; paper. |

Typescript letter signed to Beaton, from London. It was wonderful to hear from Beaton. Was pleased that he liked "Royal Portraits" and "Images". Is testing out a new mail order book club. It is touching to see the Queen Mother's letter. Misses Beaton very much indeed. The book on "My Fair Lady" should be "within the average person's purse". 1p; paper. |
