Content and context

Beaton's biographer.

Thanks Beaton for having him to lunch last Tuesday. Was fascinated by all he told him. The picture of Princess Marina is now in a frame opposite his desk. Is tremendously excited by all the developments since their meeting. After Christmas he will ring Beaton up and arrange to come and see him as soon as possible. Laura has seen Diana Cooper once or twice and she is still "carrying on with customary resilience". Hopes Beaton will have a very happy Christmas. Looks forward to seeing him in the New Year.
