Autograph letter signed to Beaton, from Mereworth Castle, Maidstone, Kent. It is lovely to hear from Beaton. They go to Kashmir next week, and are very excited but a little apprehensive. Has had a lovely day packing up. Miss Emma has married the editor of Private Eye. Discusses the reception. Emma's dog has come to live with them and bit Miss Bolton, "something we've all longed to do for years". Paddy Stash complained about building his new house in Greece, saying that it was hopeless because he couldn't speak Greek. Wishes Beaton was not going to be away for so long. Wishes he was coming with them on the boat. 4p; paper. |
