Autograph letter signed to Beaton. Did not realise such beauty could flow from anyone's pen in the twentieth century. Has just reread Beaton's piece and feels "intensely happy and intensely sad". In Beaton's piece are such beautiful descriptions of his father. He could never have got as close to describing them as Beaton has. Is very very grateful. 2p; paper. |
