Recommends that Beaton reads the Gospel of John for one hour each day for a month. Writes that this will make him better acquainted with 'the greatest man that ever walked this earth'. Discusses the afternoon and weather. The sea looks calm, but only two weeks ago a freak wave almost killed passengers on a ship. They had to get a helicopter to take them to safety. Asks the name of Beaton's agents in South Africa as she plans to buy "The Strenuous Years". Suggests that he follow this by writing "'The Mature Years"', as these are the best years in life. |
