Autograph letter signed to Beaton. Heard from her secretary in New York that a beautiful book of Beaton's has arrived and that she is in it. Is thrilled and finds it a great honour. Loves the pictures Beaton took and is ashamed to say that she has not yet paid for them. Asks if Beaton's secretary could send her the bill so that she can clear her conscience. Would also like some more of the photographs. Wonders if Beaton managed to see Mel in Sardinia. Is having a true rest and spending most of her time perched on a peaceful mountain in Switzerland. Is going to Holland soon to visit family. Specifies which pictures she would like. Longs to visit Beaton and expects to stay with him as soon as she goes to England. 7p; paper. |
