1 Autograph letter to Beaton, from Lagos. They are going to Katsina this year. Discusses plans for Beaton to join them. Asks if Diana would like to come. They have not been to Katsina before and suspect that lodgings will be difficult. Felt so sad when she heard that Augustus had died. They have been having a boiling hot christmas. Tells Beaton that he must go to Bida as it is unspoiled and the people are lovely.

Wishes Beaton could come back for a visit. They go back to Lagos at the end of next week. Thinks the behaviour of the British Parliament has been intolerable. Thinks they are bitter at the loss of their empire. Wonders how Beaton can bear Disney Land.
