St John's Library/Beaton/A1/239 contains:
1 Autograph letter signed to Beaton. Has had a letter from Joe Hiatt asking for the stetson hat back that Beaton wanted as a sample. Trusts it was not for him as it looks ghastly. Thinks Beaton should not move far away from the hat in the show as it would disappoint people if he did. Does not know if Beaton realises, but it has become almost a trade mark of "My Fair Lady". If only they had a percentage of every hat sold over the world, they would be even richer than they are. Looks forward to seeing Beaton in May.
2p; paper.
5 Apr. 1960–5 Apr. 1964
2 Autograph letter to Beaton, from New York. Never dreamt that truly handsome hat was Beaton's. Longs to see Beaton and it again.
1p; paper.
1960–1964
3 Autograph letter signed to Beaton, from Chelsea. Thanks Beaton for asking him to his lovely party. Apologises for not saying goodbye and for leaving his coat, but felt exhasted, hot and drunk and the walk back to Chelsea did him the power of good. Hopes to see Beaton in New York in October.
1p; paper.
1960–1970
