William Heywood Haslam (1889-1981) came up to King's in 1908 from Sedbergh. Through Rupert Brooke he became an active member of the Marlowe Society, specialising in female roles. He worked in Intelligence during the first war and was J M Keynes's private secretary at the Genoa Conference. He had a career as a businessman.
These documents relate primarily to Haslam's experiences in the Amateur Dramatic Club and Marlowe Society. They include photographs, programmes, reviews and some material about the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.

Hon. Mr. Justice Ross' to Lady Gregory commending her efforts with the Abbey. - Newspaper cutting (no date) about the Abbey, reviewing 'The Green Helmet' and 'The Playboy of the Western World'. - Printed pamphlet 'Paragraphs written in Nov., 1909, with supplement and financial statement' (1910) giving the history of the Abbey.
