1 Genealogical manuscripts and correspondence. The file includes 2 ALS from John Henry Wicksteed, Vicar of Bexley, written in 1909 with his transcript of Green ancestral funerary inscriptions at Bexley, a broken piece of glass roughly painted with the coat of arms of Green and Gayton, a small watercolour sketch of Rev. Thomas Green of Birmingham, genealogical notes and family trees traced back to the nineteenth century.

The file comprises:. - Piece of birchbark cloth which wrapped a gift brought by Mr. R Bloxham from the South Sea Islands on his voyage with Admiral Byron. - Invitations for WCG and his family to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales on their visit to King's (no date). - Press cutting about the fast pace of modern life (no date). - Curves traced by a pendulum made by Mr. Newall [possibly Hugh Frank Newall, 1857-1944] (no date). - Invitations for GR Green and his family to events at Windsor Castle, 1833 and 1836. - Eton College election speeches, 1859. - Auction catalogue for 'Household furniture, the property of a gentleman leaving Liverpool' who lived at 28 Richmond Terrace, 14 Sep 1863, annotated with the prices [realised]. - Matchbox which once contained a lock of William Gladstone's hair.
