William Coxe. The file comprises a collection of working notes partly for books (some autograph, others with autograph notes), Coxe's autograph diary for 1813, drafts of letters, autograph letters signed by the Abbe de Sade, author of a life of Petrarch to Coxe, with autograph drafts of Coxe's replies, together with 'Cursory Notes relative to the Pelham Administration' and 'Chronology of Events during the Administration of the Right Hon. Henry Pelham' largely written in the same hand as a synopsis for a 'Biographical Memoir of the late Revd Archdeacon Coxe', and an autograph letter signed from William Coxe to his publishers stating his terms for an enlarged second edition of his 'Memoirs of Lord Walpole' (5 Nov 1807).
