Content and context

William Cole (1714-1782, KC 1735) matriculated at Clare in 1733 and migrated to King's in 1735. He was an intimate friend of Horace Walpole, with whom he travelled abroad. Cole was a priest and a noted antiquarian.

Prints of William Cole's bookplates. Prints of the 1st and 2nd states of the bookplate of William Cole, King's College and Cambridge University Library bookplate with autograph of William Cole.
