Content and context

William Cole (1714-1782, KC 1735) matriculated at Clare in 1733 and migrated to King's in 1735. He was an intimate friend of Horace Walpole, with whom he travelled abroad. Cole was a priest and a noted antiquarian.

1 Prints of William Cole's bookplates. Prints of the 1st and 2nd states of the bookplate of William Cole, King's College and Cambridge University Library bookplate with autograph of William Cole.
