Content and context

A series of letters discussing miscellaneous matters related to Rupert Brooke or his estate. Principal correspondents include Edward Marsh, others that knew Rupert Brooke and members of King's College, Cambridge.

RCB/Xg/1-12 are the property of the Brooke Trustees and have been deposited at King's College, Cambridge. RCB/Xg/13 and following were deposited at King's College as noted for each item and are the property of King's College.

1 Letter from Edmund Gosse to Edward Marsh. Manuscript transcript by Edward Marsh of a letter from Edmund Gosse to Edward Marsh; with envelope. The date is probably between June 1915 and 1918, for the letter refers to the pre-publication copy of 'Collected Poems', [published by John Lane Company in USA in June 1915], and to the frontispiece [by Sherril Schell], but not to Edward Marsh's 'Memoir', published with the first British edition of 'Collected Poems' in 1918.
