Content and context

This series is comprised of biographical and supplemental material dating from before Rupert Brooke's death. Among the variety of items included are school reports, contributions to newspapers and magazines, materials concerning Cambridge performances, materials concerning Rupert Brooke's commission and miscellaneous correspondence.

All items in this series, with the exception of RCB/Xa/15, are the property of the Brooke Trustees and have been deposited at King's College, Cambridge.

School reports. School reports at Hillbrow, 1897-1901 and Rugby, 1901-6. This file also contains one autograph letter, signed, from T.B. Eden, Master at Hillbrow, to William Parker Brooke, 4 Aug. 1897; manuscript notes on the marks of Rupert Brooke and 'Mozley', undated; a sanatorium report on Rupert Brooke dated 27 Sept. 1904 and a programme for Rugby Prize-giving, 30 June 1906.

It also includes two printed poems, 'The miracle' and 'We trail our limb along the way' untitled and torn from 'Basileon Z'.
