Edward George Geoffrey Smith Stanley (1799-1869) was the fourteenth earl of Derby. In 1817 he went from Eton College to Christ Church, Oxford. In 1825 he married and set up a home at Ballykisteen, Co. Tipperary. He was Prime Minister in 1852 and then again in 1858.
