The Papers of John Saltmarsh

Title Lectures
Reference JS/1/22
Covering Dates 1938–1974
Extent and Medium 66 items in 10 envelopes; paper
Content and context

The public lectures delivered by John Saltmarsh (JS/1/22-35) were given at various clubs and societies. They include formal presentations and abbreviated notes for guided tours around Cambridge and Cambridgeshire. Some lectures appear in several versions, but John Saltmarsh's arrangement of similar lectures in different groupings has been preserved. Numbered or labelled boxes have been placed first in the sequence, followed by lectures which do not appear to have any principle arrangement.

This sub-series (JS/1/22) comprises autograph manuscript and typescript lectures, some with autograph manuscript notes and annotations.

Formerly held in 10 boxes.

The number identifying the box in which these papers were originally housed is given at the beginning of each entry. John Saltmarsh's original arrangement has been preserved but duplicate copies without annotations have been removed.
