Content and context

Typescript, with autograph manuscript corrections by GLD, of his autobiography 'Recollections'. Annotated by E. M. Forster and Sir Dennis Proctor, the text is marked up for the inclusion/exclusion of certain passages and the renumbering of pages and chapters. For a detailed exposition of the descent of the text and its handling by E. M. Forster and Sir Dennis Proctor, see 'Autobiography of G. Lowes Dickinson' (London, 1973) pp. 6-17.

Put in present sequence by Sir Dennis Proctor in 1971 in preparation for publication as 'The Autobiography of G. Lowes Dickinson' (London, 1973).
