(Giles) Lytton Strachey (1880-1932) went to Trinity College, Cambridge from 1899 to 1905, where he became one of the early members of the Bloomsbury group.

MS introduction by Strachey for Rylands' book 'Words and Poetry', together with related letters from Strachey to Rylands and a cover letter to Rylands from 'James'.
