The lectures were given for Christopher Cornford at the Royal College of Art, 5 and 12 Feb. 1964. The file also contains an undated typescript 'The measurement of time dimension', with related notes; an undated typescript on Gordon Childe's error in applying Marxist analysis to metal working during the Egyptian 1st Dynasty; a typed letter signed from Meyer Fortes to ERL commenting on his paper on sampling technique, 20 July 1949; a typed letter signed from ERL to Fortes, [1953]; a newscutting of a review of Meyer Fortes 'The web of kinship among the Tallensi ... ' (1949), 12 Aug. 1949; a typescript review of Chen Han-Seng 'Frontier land systems of southernmost China: a comparative study ...' (published as Bibliography number 1949/10); a typescript and copy typescript 'A Kagaman tomb post from the Belaga area of Sarawak' (published as Bibliography number 1950/12); notes and a letter concerning examination results in Social Anthropology at LSE, 1950.
