Jayant Vishnu Narlikar and his brother standing on either side of E.M. Forster, all 1/2 length, standing facing the camera. Part of a mantelpiece is visible behind and parts of 2 standard lamps on each side. Taken at King's College, Cambridge. Colour print, 12.6 x 8.9. Inscribed on back, by E.M. Forster, 'Between Narlikar Bros.' (Sleeve 330)

The occasion may be the one recorded in E.M. Forster's Locked Diary for 29 July 1963. If so, the robes are E.M. Forster's from Dewas.
