Photograph of Percy Whichelo (1876-1956) leaning against an apple tree, Rosie Whichelo sitting on a stool holding a book, E.M. Forster (aged about 12 years old) wearing a suit and Eton collar reaching up to the branch of another apple tree over his head, and Alice Clara Forster by the porch wearing a pale dress. Taken on the tennis lawn at Rooksnest and mounted on card, 16.5 x 10.8 (photograph 14.8 x 10). Inscribed in album, by E.M. Forster, 'Rooksnest. Percy. Rosie. Self. Mother' and inscribed on back, by E.M. Forster, 'Percy Rosie Self Mother'. (Sleeve 19)
