Title Romania (?): building with murals
Reference EMF/27/523
Covering Dates 1932 (Possibly 1932. Date has been estimated.)
Extent and Medium 1 item in box album; photographic print
Content and context

Photograph of the side of a building with murals showing various figures and decorative patterns, possibly taken in Romania. Modern print, 10 x 6.2. (Sleeve 185)

EMF/27/512-32 are modern reprints made from 12 negatives found in an undated German photographic envelope. The style of building, dress, and men's hats are similar to the series of Romanian photographs which E.M. Forster placed in Album Six. The negative for 27/524 was found in a different photographic envelope with negatives for 27/496-7 (which were placed by EMF in Album Six) and the envelope is dated 22 July 1931. The negatives have been removed and placed in the Archivist's office.
