Content and context

Photograph of unidentified family group comprising a man and woman, two boys and two girls. As EMF/27/373 but standing in different positions, and only one of the boys is seen. Possibly taken at Abinger, Surrey. Modern print, 9.2 x 6.4. (Sleeve 145)

EMF/27/366-79 are modern reprints made from negatives found in a photographic envelope dated 21 Aug. 1931. (The envelope also contained negatives for EMF/27/552-4.) The views are similar to the series of photographs which E.M. Forster placed in Album Two, and one is a negative of EMF/27/386. The negatives have been removed and placed in the Archivist's office.

EMF/27/373-6 are a series. The woman, girls and one of the boys in this photograph appear in EMF/27/375, a picture taken near the West Hackhurst veranda.
