Professional studio photograph of Mr. Aylward standing, wearing his robes as Mayor of Salisbury. His left arm is resting on a carved and partially-draped plinth. 3/4 length, looking to the left. Photograph is mounted on card, 16.6 x 10.9 (photograph 13.4 x 8.3), but not stamped with the name of the studio. Inscribed in album, by E.M. Forster, 'Mr Aylward' and inscribed on back, by E.M. Forster, 'Mr Aylward as Mayor of Salisbury'. (Sleeve 11)
