Photograph of portico of Robert Thornton's orangery, taken at Clapham. Print, 8.5 x 6. Inscribed on back, by E.M. Forster, with location. (Sleeve 44)

EMF/27/101-14 were found fixed into a home-made paper album containing photographs of Thornton houses and environs in Yorkshire and London. Pages were formerly folded into a booklet, but loose, and are now held in conservation envelopes. Typed labels are stuck below the photographs.
