Photograph of John Thornton's house on the south side of Clapham Common, taken at Clapham. Wings added by the Notre Dame Convent. Demolished in 1945. Print, 11 x 8.4. (Sleeve 42)

EMF/27/101-14 were found fixed into a home-made paper album containing photographs of Thornton houses and environs in Yorkshire and London. Pages were formerly folded into a booklet, but loose, and are now held in conservation envelopes. Typed labels are stuck below the photographs.
