Research notes and correspondence on the export of books from England, with emphasis on the narrowly averted sale to the USA of Caxton's translation of Ovid's 'Metamorphoses' and its acquisition by Magdalene College, Cambridge. Drafts of a lecture and ultimate publication on the Caxton Ovid are included.
