Content and context

The advowson and patronage of Chalk prebend, formerly property of the abbess of Wilton, was granted to the College first by Henry VI in 1448, then confirmed by a licence of Edward IV in 1475. The original deeds are kept under KCAR/6/2/31/7 Title deeds.

Documents relating to College lands in Chalk, Wiltshire. Includes CHA/1estates-/6estates, /7-/126.
