Correspondence concerning the illness, death and burial of Provost Thackeray, and correspondence and drafts relating to the memorial inscriptions for the Chapels of Eton and King's. Also contains correspondence with C E Grant, Librarian, concerning the Chancery unit consequent on the death of Provost Thackeray's daughter, Mary Ann Elizabeth Thackeray in February 1879, and the College's eventual acquisition of her father's remaining books.
