Sir F. Goldsmid guaranteed £300 and paid it. I wish it had been £1000. Explanation of fossils and bones, which were dug up and Professor Hughes thinks they might be worth preserving. Please write to Miss Bernard stating what you have, as Library and scientific apparatus come under her charge. The pictures are not yet catalogued - I ought to tell Miss Bernard which belong to College, and which are loans. Would you kindly send a list of those that are lent? Keen to make the inventory as perfect as possible.
