Miss Mantle is coming back - I had not planned on this and had thought of asking Miss [Louisa] Lumsden to take her in hand. Miss Borchardt has taken French leave not to come back till tomorrow, if then. Too bad after the talks we had before the Vacation - it will be a good thing for the college when she leaves. Lady Herschel sent a very pleasant letter.
