Content and context

Annie Abram was born and brought up in London, educated at home and at private school and came to Girton 1902-05 to read History. She received a BA in 1906 from Trinity College Dublin (quasi ad eundem) and a DSc in 1908 from London University. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 1911. She published on social and economic medieval history.

Album of photographs of misericords in Britain and Europe with bundle of notes, illustrations and further photographs on the subject. Also flyer for Annie Abram's book 'English life and manners in the later Middle Ages' (London: Routledge, 1913) for which the misericords were a source.

The album was given by Janet Sondheimer, December 1992
