Cover:- expenses for Bach Memorial Concert by JJ on 18 March 1874; award of an honorary degree in Music in March 1877, 1877-8; three letters relating to visit in March 1883, 1882; seating plan and menus for a dinner for him on 14 March 1889; two letters relating to a dinner for him on 11 May 1904, 1904.

Include printed list of the Special Jubilee Committee; printed circular letters from Sedley Taylor; letters to Sedley Taylor from those intending to attend the dinner and concert, and from others regretting their inability to do so; account book of the Cambridge University Musical Society Jubilee Committee with the London and County Banking Company Ltd; printed ticket, menu, seating plan, Latin verse, conversazione cards, and programme of the Society's 215th concert; photocopies of seating plans, a menu, and a page of signatures of honorary graduands on 13 June 1893.

Sitwell's 'The Rio Grande' was performed by the C.U.M.S. at a choral and orchestral concert in the Guildhall, Cambridge, on 7 March 1947: see the series of unnumbered programmes, SOC.XV.12.13.5.
