Content and context

The group dated its formal establishment from 1937 but as early as 1934 enthusiasts for outdoor activities, especially hiking and overnight stays in Youth Hostels, were organising local expeditions. C.U.Y.H.A. members also cycled, punted, canoed and held social events. The group celebrated its golden jubilee in 1987 but appears to have gone out of existence in the 1990s.

The records were deposited anonymously on 19 June 2008.
