D.XIX.1 Bargain and sale by Gerard Danet, esquire, to Roger Grauntoft, merchant of the Staple of Calais, of property in Hilton, Hemyngford Abbote, Hemyngford Grey and Fenne Stanton, Huntingdonshire, and Ellisworth [Elsworth], Cambridgeshire. The property was late in the possession of Gerard Delahay, grandfather of Gerard Danet. Consideration: £103 6s 8d and any further sum ordered by William Lane, gentleman. If full amount is paid, William Lane and Nicholas Huson are to stand seised of the estate to the use of Roger Grauntoft. Seal and signature of Gerard Danet.

The other feoffees to uses are Thomas Flower, Thomas Bramswell, Richard Parratt, John Yantt and Thomas Grene, all husbandmen. The other feoffees to uses are Thomas Jakeman, merchant tailor, John Hawfyld, Richard Knyght and Richard Aungell, husbandmen. By Roger Grauntoft's will, dated 25 Feb. 1527/8, his executor should inherit the estate if his grandson, also called Roger Grauntoft, died before reaching the age of 20. The grandson died before reaching the age of 15. Given at Hilton. Seal of GB.
