1 'Inventory and valuation of machinery and plant , type , furniture and fittings, plates and standing forms [sic] at the University Press, Cambridge, on 31 December 1868'. This is C.J. Clay's copy. It is indexed under the headings indicated above. The process was repeated triennially to 1910.

The full title reads:- 'Inventory of the motive power and going gears; fixed plant and machinery; steam, heating, water and gas services; electric light installations; loose plant and utensils; trade fixtures and fittings; consumable stores; stock of type (exclusive of paper, stock, stereos and electros) at the University Press, Trumpington St, Cambridge'. Bears several later annotations.
